Raymond L. Knauf, 68, of Bremerton died May 3 from complications of a stroke at Belmont Terrace Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bremerton.

He was born in Tacoma to Wilbur and Florence (Mize) Knauf. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1954.

Mr. Knauf served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1962. He retired on medical disability.

In 1964, he married Dianne Ryan in Texas. She preceded him in death in 1998.

He enjoyed old cars, fishing and camping.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Knauf of Puyallup; three daughters, Rhonda Koontz of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathryn Cozad of Galisto, N.M., and Debra Knauf of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Richard Knauf of Shelton and Robert Knauf of Arkansas; a sister, Dorothy McKinsey of Bremerton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton.
